Spring Season - 2010

Decorah United Soccer Club (DUSC) is an organization supporting youth (ages 8 - 14) soccer teams in Decorah, IA. DUSC is a member of the Coulee Region Soccer Association. During the spring we are a traveling club. We host games in Decorah and travel to cities such as La Crosse, La Crescent, Caledonia, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, Sparta, and Tomah.

DUSC is a recreational club. The program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and having fun. There are no tryouts. Teams are formed by age and gender. Under no circumstance are players allowed to play down. Players are not allowed to play up based on ability. A player may play up if players are needed to meet a minimum roster size for the team. The board makes these decisions on a case-by-case basis.

Practice fields and times have yet to be determined for spring 2010.

The official DUSC spring uniform consists of a DUSC jersey, black shorts, and black socks. Kerry Johnson is our uniform coordinator. Please email her if you have questions.

• Shin guards (required for practices and games)
• Soccer cleats
• Ball (required for practices and games)

General Registration Information:

• Players need to be 8 years old as of July 31, 2010 to participate in the DUSC spring season. (Born between 8-1-01 and 7-31-02.)
• Players new to the club must provide us with a photocopy of a government issued birth certificate, passport, etc. as legal proof of age before being placed on a team. Please note that hospital, baptismal or religious certificates cannot be accepted.
• All players must submit a liability and medical consent form. No practicing or playing until we receive this form.
